Adam Toms once had an opening line on his bio that read 'Is he Country, Rock, Pop, Blues or all of the above? Let's leave that for you to decide'.
A few years later and Tomsy declares he is definitely more 'country rock' than his earlier years but he still doesn't mind mixing it up here and there.
Since 2009 he has released an EP, along with two albums both produced by Golden Guitar producer of the Year, Matt Fell. With 8 film clips and 10 singles to radio and even a reality documentary about his 9 month tour around Australia with wife and two young boys in tow, Adam's fan base is growing rapidly every day.
With a swag of award and competition credits to his name and an intense gigging schedule Adam believes strongly in the theory of 'taking his music to the people' rather than sitting back and waiting for it to happen. Regularly playing festivals small and large all over Australia mixed with pubs, clubs and private functions Adam thrives in the variety of what any one show can bring.
“I see every crowd as a challenge. Whether it’s a local bar or a large festival crowd, people are there to be entertained. I love nothing more than seeing the audience react back with me, smiling laughing and having a great time” says Toms.
Adam mixes his love for artists like Keith Urban, Brooks & Dunn, Eric Clapton, Ryan Adams, Tom Petty and Billy Thorpe to create his own sound.
''Irrespective of whether he's crooning or rocking out, Toms is master of his game on this sizzling second release. Take a bow son.'' - Matt Lawrence (Country Music Capital News)
"With a dynamic stage presence, a voice to die for and songs that fit perfectly in today's modern country market Adam Toms is about to establish himself as a core figure in Country Music." - Troy Kemp (McAlister Kemp)
His 2013 album release ‘Rich Man’ has a mix of country rock, blues, soul & rock all wrapped up in a country music blanket. With songs co-written with Drew McAlister, Troy Kemp & Felicity Urquhart solo writes and a couple of sourced tracks it's a cocktail for an album with no 'fillers'. The first single 'Rowdy Together' (Toms/Kemp) was included in 3 x ABC Music compilation CDs including the 'Hit Country 2013' release.
Adam’s latest project and one that is very close to home is sure to touch many hearts of young and old. After his eldest son was diagnosed as Autistic in Nov 2013 a relationship has been formed with Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect) ‘I Wouldn’t Change A Thing’ will be used to raise money and awareness in conjunction with the national organisation.
